About the Course
Are you a parent looking for a safe and engaging way to introduce your young adventurer to the world of mountain biking? Look no further. Our 4 week after-school program is designed specifically for beginner riders aged 5-12, aiming to build essential skills, boost confidence, and foster a love for the sport.
We start with the basics: safe riding habits, effective braking, balance, and proper body positioning. But we don't stop there. Our PMBIA-certified coaches, backed by Kootenay Mountain Biking's 15 years of experience, use a mix of fun games and hands-on drills to make sure your child is not just learning but enjoying every moment. The goal is to get them comfortably navigating green trails and making new friends along the way.
To join, your young rider should have a bike with at least a 20-inch wheel size and be proficient in using hand brakes. No training wheels allowed, as this program is about taking those next big steps in biking.
So, if you're looking to solve the puzzle of how to safely and effectively introduce your child to mountain biking, this is your answer. We're not just teaching skills; we're building a foundation for a lifelong passion. Sign up now and let your young rider experience the thrill and joy of mountain biking.
