Is your young rider ready to take their mountain biking skills to the next level? Our six-week after-school program is tailored for intermediate bikers aged 5-12 who are eager to refine their skills and tackle more challenging trails. Backed by Kootenay Mountain Biking's 15 years of coaching experience, our PMBIA-certified coaches will guide them through an advanced curriculum that goes beyond the basics.
We'll focus on mastering gear usage for optimal speed, fine-tuning braking techniques for better control, and advanced body positioning for smoother rides. But it's not just about skill-building; we'll also dive into strategic line selection and trail awareness to make them feel at home on our local blue trails. Through a mix of on-trail coaching, engaging drills, and fun games, your young rider will gain the confidence and skills to navigate bumpy, rooty sections and even venture onto more challenging terrains.

Early Drop Off
Have to work or can't drop kids off at 3pm for their After School Program? Our coaches can meet your kid/s at RSS at 2:30pm or Rossland French School at 2:40pm and head up to the program ready for 3pm. Early Drop off can be booked for all 4 sessions, no single days available.
Details: 2:30pm pick up directly from RSS playground OR 2:40pm at Rossland French school playground. You can specifiy which one at check out.
Cost: $30 + gst (based on 3 kids signing up. If less sign up you will have the option to cancel with a refund or if you need the care, the price will increase to simply cover costs).

Pat McCormick
Pat discovered his love for Mountain Biking in the early 90's in eastern Canada, despite the then-primitive bikes and trails. After graduating with a BSc Kinesiology in Sport Science, Pat worked his career in Occupational Health & Safety before pursuing his passion for promoting health and wellbeing through mountain biking. Pat's related and enjoyable attitude towards life is well-known, and he's enthusiastic about providing an ever-improving experience for every KMB participant.
