Is your young rider ready to take their mountain biking skills to the next level? Our six-week after-school program is tailored for intermediate bikers aged 5-12 who are eager to refine their skills and tackle more challenging trails. Backed by Kootenay Mountain Biking's 15 years of coaching experience, our PMBIA-certified coaches will guide them through an advanced curriculum that goes beyond the basics.
We'll focus on mastering gear usage for optimal speed, fine-tuning braking techniques for better control, and advanced body positioning for smoother rides. But it's not just about skill-building; we'll also dive into strategic line selection and trail awareness to make them feel at home on our local blue trails. Through a mix of on-trail coaching, engaging drills, and fun games, your young rider will gain the confidence and skills to navigate bumpy, rooty sections and even venture onto more challenging terrains.
If your child is already comfortable on green trails and has dabbled in blue single tracks, this program is the perfect next step. We're not just teaching them to ride; we're preparing them for a lifelong passion for mountain biking.
So, if you're looking for a program that will truly elevate your child's skills and confidence, look no further. Sign up now and watch them thrive on the trails!
