Got a rider who is ready to go from shredding trails to owning them? If you've got a young rider who's pushing the limits and hungry for more, or if you're a parent looking to safely channel your kid's adrenaline and skills into something epic, look no further. Our advanced freeride mountain bike program is the ultimate training ground for young riders aiming for the big leagues—be it downhill racing or even the Rampage. Taught by a Level 4 PMBIA coach and backed by the trusted name of Kootenay Mountain Biking, this program is the real deal.

Structured to be a comprehensive skills clinic, starting with body positioning for high-speed descents. We use targeted drills to help riders understand how to shift their weight and balance for optimal control and agility.

When it comes to fast cornering, we break it down step-by-step. We start with line selection drills, teaching riders how to spot the best path through a turn. Then we move to actual cornering exercises, focusing on entry and exit techniques, and how to maintain speed without skidding out.

Advanced braking is another key focus. We use a combination of flat ground exercises and real-world trail scenarios to teach modulation and timing. The goal is for your rider to know exactly how much brake to apply and when, especially in technical sections.

For features like rock rolls and drops, we start with smaller versions and work our way up. We teach pressure control through a series of exercises that help riders understand how to use their body weight to manage speed and maintain control during these features.

Timing and coordination are honed through a series of rhythm exercises. We set up different scenarios where riders have to time jumps, drops, and turns, helping them understand the flow of a trail and how to move with it, not against it.

All of this is taught by our Level 4 PMBIA coach, who brings a wealth of experience from his race career and years of coaching expertise to the table. And let's not forget, this program is backed by Kootenay Mountain Biking, a name synonymous with quality coaching. We've been doing this for over 15 years, and our main goal is to provide a safe, fun, and educational environment for your rider to truly excel. This isn't just another biking program; it's a pathway to mastering the sport.
